2022 Midterm Election Voter’s Guide

I created a voter’s guide walking the audience through what was on the ballot and how the results panned out in real-time. Within the guide, I also wrote explainers on the state issues and school levies on the ballot.

Ohio Governor’s Race: DeWine vs. Whaley

A key race in Ohio was who would be next to lead the state. Mike DeWine, the incumbent Republican, ran against Nan Whaley, the former mayor of Dayton, Ohio. The race was split between the hot-button issues of abortion and gun rights.

U.S. Senate race: The open seat

Republican Sen. Rob Portman had announced that he was not running for reelection, leaving the Senate seat wide open in the 2022 election. The key race featured Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan and Republican candidate JD Vance.
